Three Earth-like planet found to be orbiting its star in the habitable zone (habitable zone). Scientists believe that the planet is likely to appear in the water to support life.

Reported Machineslikeus, Wednesday (26/06/2013), the research conducted by an international team of astronomers led by Guillem Anglada-Escude, University of Goettingen in Germany and Mikko Tuomi from the University of Hertfordshire, UK. This new observation objects observed star named Gliese 667C.

Researchers combine existing data to unveil a system that has at least six planets. The three planets are super-Earth, a planet much larger than Earth but smaller than Neptune or Uranus.

In the habitable zone, researchers believe that environmental conditions in the area could lead to water and can support the emergence of life. This is the first time it was found that three planets found orbiting in the same system.

"We know that the star has a planet from three previous studies. So, we wanted to see if anyone else (planets found.) By adding some new observations and review of existing data, we can confirm three super-Earth planet and we believe could find a planet anymore, "said researcher Mikko Tuomi.

Star Gliese 667C is very well studied. This star is part of a three-star system known as Gliese 667 in the constellation Scorpius.

The star is reportedly within 22 light-years from Earth. Scientists used space telescopes to hunt for planets, the Kepler telescope.
